OPT7-3 equips the CP-701 with an automatic video timing system providing automatic horizontal and subcarrier
timing of the camera video signal. OPT7-3 also contains an 8-bit frame synchronizer module for the return video
input allowing simultaneous genlock and color return video operations through the single cable CP-701 system.
• Frame synchronizer module allow non-synchronous video to be used as return video
(e.g. satellite return, off-air, telepromter).
• “Set and Forget” camera timing – Adjust H and S/C phase once, and non-volatile memory
in the OPT7-3 timing system “remembers” the proper horizontal and subcarrier phase of
your camera video into your production switcher!
• Automatically compensates for cable length and temperature changes - no more
"re-phasing" in the middle of an event.
• -0.5 microsecond maximum delay to +15.5 microsecond maximum advance allows
adequate SC and H phase adjustment for nearly a mile of cable.
• Proper H and S/C phase relationship to switcher input is stored non-volatile memory
allowing "set and forget" camera timing even following power down.
• Frame synchronizer module allows non-synchronous video to be used as return video
(i.e. satellite return, off-air, teleprompter).
